Colmcille Press is an Independent Publishing House 
Based in Derry, North West Ireland 

Founded in 2018 in the city of Jennifer Johnston, Nell McCafferty, Seamus Deane and Brian Friel, Colmcille Press publishes new books from a range of talented writers, historians, humorists and poets.

Our wide range of authors includes: the award-winning Maura Johnston whose new glossary of Seamus Heaney’s ‘hearth language’, is already garnering international attention; the BBC presenter Richie Kelly, whose biography of John Crossan is to be the subject of a TV documentary; and the late John Bryson, whose history Derry's Streets is rapidly becoming the definitive history of this his home city. 

Our funders include the Heritage Lottery Fund, The Forge Writers Group and the John Bryson Foundation.

Come and explore 1500 years of great writing, heritage and history from the North West with us today.
