Richie Kelly's new John Crossan biography 'The Man The Couldn't Ban' contains a full account of how the player scored two goals for Standard Liege in a European Cup Quarter Final against Glasgow Rangers in 1962, while still banned from playing in Britain or Ireland.

Richie Kelly's new John Crossan biography 'The Man The Couldn't Ban' contains a full account of the player's somewhat constricted international career - resulting in him only gaining 24 caps and 10 goals, despite him becoming captain of Manchester City.
Crossan was part of the Northern Ireland team beaten 8-3 at Wembley in November 1963 by Alf Ramsey's England.
